The Orbit700 gearbox is built with the same type of gears used in the DWNS Box, a material that has already been tested and approved in combat robots, resistant and reliable. Its shaft is manufactured in 15mm SAE1045 steel, is already keyed and with M6 front thread, supported on a front block also machined in SAE1045 steel, ensuring durability of the threads and better support for the shaft bearing. In addition, the front block offers more fixing options than previous models, either by the base threads or even by the face.
However, the biggest differential of the Orbit700 line is its ease of maintenance, allowing it to be disassembled without the need for complex tools.

Input Engine Applied Voltage Output Rotation Max. Torque. Efficiency Maximum Torque (Stall)
DeWalt 18V motor 18V 778 RPM 42.1 kgf.cm 356.4 kgf.cm
DeWalt 18V motor 14.4V 622 RPM 33.7 kgf.cm 285.1 kgf.cm
DeWalt 18V motor 12V 519 RPM 28.1 kgf.cm 237.6 kgf.cm

"If you work with heavier prototypes, the 27:1 ratio may be too short for your application, resulting in overheating and burning the motor. Always check your calculations to ensure your project runs smoothly."

IMPORTANT:

* When mounting the Pinion on your electric motor, make sure that the shaft is supported and well chocked on a base. Press the gear with the aid of a manual press. The distance of the gear to the face of the motor must be 6mm or less, we recommend that you see the Orbit700 9:1 Technical Drawing to understand this procedure.
Take care not to force the assembly too much and bend the motor shaft.
Also be careful not to mount the pinion askew, the pinion tolerance is tight and it will offer resistance to the assembly, so use some base or guide to ensure parallelism.

** We are not responsible for adaptations with motors other than those recommended here.
*** Do not carry out the assembly of this item if you do not have the knowledge for the task. We are not responsible for assemblies that are badly made or that cause bending or damage any part of the box or motor.
**** After assembling the electric motor, it is recommended to soften the gearbox. Let the set run for a few minutes to the right and then to the left. This will help to reduce noise and improve performance.
